Linda Linda LindaLinda Blair was five years old when she was the youngest child actor to play The Exorcist. She had worked as a model for the previous three years before she acted as the child-possessed Regan. Linda Blair quickly rose to notoriety and was awarded her first Golden Globe. She was expected to also win an Academy Award. But when it was revealed that certain roles were actually dubbed and a stunt-dummy was filmed for only eight seconds of the film, her dream was shattered. Linda was able to secure leading roles in a number of movies, including Born Innocent (#1 TV film in 1974) as well as Sarah T. - Portrait of an Adolescent Alcoholic(1975) as well as The Exorcist II sequel Exorcist II : The Heretic. After she snagged cocaine due to the pressure of her peers at 18 this resulted in being arrested and sentenced to three years of probation. Linda was blocked by Hollywood following the widely-publicized drug arrest. The career of Linda was restricted to B films and TV appearances.
